Under the auspices of the Director of the Pioneering National Center for Cancer Research, Assistant Professor Dr. Kawakeb Najmuddin Abdullah, the center held an awareness lecture entitled; The role of women in supporting development, energy and reducing emission, introduced by Beydaa Riyad Beden, a member of the correlation Women’s Empowerment Unit at the center with the University of Baghdad in which she was highlighted on the concept of development, the ways to achieve the importance of the decision and how to take care of this aspect
The Women’s mission on the top is an honesty and community service mission aimed at improving society life by contributing in developing the society in various fields. Also she mentioned the importance of the General Secretariat of Ministers Council decision in announcing the formation of the National Women’s Team to support energy and reduce emissions on 2 February 2023.
During the first meeting of the National Women’s team held in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers building with the presence of the women’s empowerment departments in government institutions and the University of Baghdad which involving women in facing of climate change, reducing environmental pollution, changing the reality of rural women and improving their ability to deal with environmental and climate risks. She praised the role of men in supporting women for a sustainable future. Men have an important role to find a solution to the challenges faced by women.
This is a joint responsibility between women and men, as both have a role in strengthening the role of women in this field. Finally, we must realize that women are a changing force in society.
